You don't know till you try is what it boils down to. Enter the BIOS before adding the second ram stick. Set all ram settings to Auto to try and minimize any conflict and save. Shut down PC. Install second stick and see what happens. If you get lucky you can then set the desired speed to 1600 (default will likely set to 1333 for ddr3) and be stable.
