USB ports turning off randomly for a few seconds after plugging in USB ethernet port?

I had plugged in the port because the one on my motherboard stopped working after installing a graphics card. It works fine, but every so often ill have all of my ports stop working and then turn back on. What could be the problem, drivers? I have USB selective suspend setting under the power settings disabled. Also tried updating chipset for CPU and that didnt seem to work.

on a desktop is better to buy a internal ethernet card

i have a trendnet usb 3 like that one, is very good, perhaps that one is not doing proper contact with the usb ports and giving the problem

try to connect it on a usb 2 port or a usb 3 port to see if it changes, if not, it is the adaptor itself
