Hi,
I know this may seem like a silly question but I want to get a dedicated graphics card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070) but I currently have an integrated graphics card. Can I still install the graphics card without needing anything else or do I have to buy a new motherboard etc. to install it. If I do how much extra will I have to pay. Here are my PC specs:

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Is there any way of me checking my motherboard and power supply without me having to take the case off? I mean I don't mind if I have to but I really can't bothered to. Thanks for the reply

if its a pre built there is a 99% chance you cant check the psu its bad and that cpu however is perfectly find for a 1070 or a 1080 if you wanted :) but you need to also make sure your case is large enough with enough airflow to handle the new gpu too also whats your old gpu?

Your motherboard is fine and will support a 1070. Your PSU however, is much too low, and you will have to get a new one, although I don't know if any power supplies will fit your case/work with your mobo.

Oh ok I was just worried about the motherboard. I figured I'd need a new PSU and definitely a new case. This was is small af anyway. Thanks!

EDIT:: On a new power supply, what would the wattage have to be.

EDIT 2:: Found it online! Where does it say my motherboard? (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-XC-605-Desktop-Windows/dp/B00KILTLVU)

It has to be at least 500W, but I would give it 700W or even 800W just to be safe.

no 500 cause most sub 500s are not great and 300 is too low btw its like at the verge of safety so an overclock would kill it but most 400w are not well made 500-600 is what you want cause quality>price with a 400$ gpu :D

I'm sorry about the whole 300W thing, I was looking at another thread about the wattage for a GTX 1050, and without thinking I put 300 in this thread :p

I wouldn't recommend a 500W, as that will barely give you headroom. You would be better off with a 650-750ish.

I have a few more specs of my PC:
http://prntscr.com/e4clk7

My main concern is that you need a PCI-E slot to add a graphics card and I don't know if I have one. I took the case of just now and was stupid and didn't actually look and can't be bothered to open it again xD
