Are you asking for Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer? Because they are 2 totally different things.
IE (Internet Explorer) is the default web-browser for Windows 7.
Windows Explorer is in short terms the file manager for Windows since the late 90's. So opening your documents on your computer would be considered saying your opening your windows explorer.
I'm just trying to clarify and understand what it is your asking.
