I was wondering if it is possible and if there will be any benefits to running RAID 0 across Sata 2 and Sata 3. Also would x4 drives in Sata 2 ports be faster (Read/Write speeds) or x2 drives in Sata 3?
Neither. SATA drives can't even break SATA 2 speeds. SATA 3 was made for SSD's.
The only way you can RAID across two different controllers is though a software RAID which isn't the best idea and can be taxing on the CPU (not for RAID 1/0 though).
