Xeffx :
So I'm in for an upgrade in a bit, I'm planning to get the Gigabyte GA-Z270-HD3P, Socket-1151
But I am unsure if this ram Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz 16GB is supported.
As it says "Designed for high-performance overclocking on Intel X99 motherboards."
If you look at Gigabyte website:
http://www.gigabyte.de/products/product-page.aspx?pid=6112#sp
and you look at Memory support, ( Support for DDR4 3866(O.C.) / 3800(O.C.) / 3733(O.C.) / 3666(O.C.) / 3600(O.C.) / 3466(O.C.) / 3400(O.C.) / 3333(O.C.) / 3300(O.C.) / 3200(O.C.) / 3000(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666(O.C.) / 2400(O.C.) / 2133 MHz memory modules) you can see your Memory speed above (2666Mhz) the type of memory (DDR4)
and if you look at the size: 4 x DDR4 DIMM sockets supporting up to 64 GB of system memory
* Due to a Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than the size of the physical memory installed.
you know above that there are 4x DDR4 DIMM slots up to 64 gb.
So it should be all good
