New build keeps crashing while playing Fallout 4. I have all settings at the lowest - including screen resolution. I am running the folowing:

Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core CPU (OC to 4.1)

GeForce GTX750TI 1GB DDR5 192Bit PCI-Express Video Graphics Card

Seasonic 100163 Power Supply S12ii520 Bronze Retail 520w Atx12v V2.3 80+ Pfc

Patriot Viper 3 Series, Black Mamba, DDR3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Seagate Barracuda 1TB,Internal,7200RPM,3.5" (ST1000DM003) HDD

ASRock Z97 Anniversary LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Mothe Board

I have done load tests and temps never get too high (73 for CPU and 63 for GPU). I have also used FurMark and it will not run on 1080 - keeps crashing. Seems to run fine on 720.

Lately I have had to underclock the GPU using EVGA Precision XOC just to keep it running for 5-10 minutes at a time.

All other less demanding gaming works fine - it is just FO4.

Ideas? How can I tell if it is the CPU or the GPU that is causing problems?

Solution
To see if it's GPU, download and run Unigine Heaven benchmark program,
link: https://unigine.com/products/benchmarks/heaven/

Set your preferred quality, resolution, AA level etc and do several runs with different settings.

To see if it's your CPU, download and run Prime95 stress test program,

Though, if you had to underclock your GPU then i'd say your GPU is dying and it's a good time to look for a new GPU.
Here i suggest GTX 1050 Ti.

Thanks for the response!

I ran the Prime95 torture test for 8 hours with no errors so the CPU seems to be fine.

I then ran the Heaven stress test on many different settings and could never get it to go for than 1 minute (even when changing setting on GPU) so I guess it is a new GPU for us! Kind of a bummer - the 750 Ti is new but I guess it is just not enough for what we need.

I will get the 1050 Ti and let you know how it works out.

Thanks again for your time.
