Hi, I'm looking to build a computer that'll be mainly focused on being able to live stream at high rates with performance demanding games. Video editing will be part of that as well but main focus would be live streaming at high rates. I'll mostly be streaming games like GTA 5, Call of duty etc but wouldn't be bad to be able to handle any other higher performance games that may be out there.

I have the following items: Mouse, Keyboard, monitor, WD hard drive, 2 x 2g ram(I know i'll definitely need to buy more ram), rmx 850w power supply. My budget is 1800 CAD including taxes but if I can get it done cheaper that's better obviously. Prefer to buy from Amazon.ca, Newegg.ca or Memoryexpress.com but other sources are fine if it's cheaper. Let me know if i'm missing anything. Thank you!

*forgot to mention*: Operating software will be windows 7. (Which i have) and have elgato capture device.

I merged your threads together as it seems the $1k one has served its course.

For just under $1800 you could do this

Thanks for the build. I already have the elgato and will be installing windows 7, which I have as well. Would you make any changes to this build?

Thanks for the build! So, the current cpu cooler I have can't be used?

Here is an update with the capture card and OS removed.

Not sure if I would go with EVGA for the 1080, I know they solved their issues, but MSI it's pretty decent as well.
If you overclock get the Z270 Taichi mobo. 12 Power Phase, awesome bios.

Didn't see you had a cooler. No reason it won't work just add some artic silver mx4 or as5 and enjoy. I'd like to see where 12 power phases beats 10 in every day overclocks. Unless you're aiming for 6ghz on ln2 you'll never see a difference

ASRock is great for a budget board but for over $200 sorry I'll stick with ASUS. Its $35 higher priced so nope not going to even worry about the mobo. Did they look at the taichi 2011 and think the Z270 is worth the same?

MERGED QUESTION
Question from didyouknowthatimprettyawesome : "$1000 dollar gaming live streaming/video editing build."

Thank you so much Rogue! I actually made another thread earlier where I raised it to $1800 budget which is what I can pretty much afford at the moment at max(give or take 100-200 bucks maybe:$). Would you at this point recommend the $1522.67 build or perhaps make changes if it opens up more upgradability at 1800? The other thread can be found here. I do have the windows 7 CD and would like to use that.

Hey so i'm building this now. Is the cooler the right cooler? The CPU is LGA1151 and the cooler only says compatible with LGA775,LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366.

Oh ok. Another question. The motherboard is too small for the case. The standoffs are wayyy off. What do you think I should do? The wholes on the mb are either too far apart on one end or seem opposite on the other. *facepalm*

The case and board are both ATX so I don't see how thats possible. Make sure you've inserted standoffs where the motherboard's holes correspond, and then align the motherboard with the rear of the case where the ports mount. You're definitely doing something wrong or you have the motherboard in the wrong spot.

Nevermind about the opposite part but the problem is that the board isn't wide enough. The stand offs came installed and the ones on the far end towards the face of the case are too far. So much so they can be seen hanging outside of the board when I align the board flush to back wall. If i've not mistaken, I should be able to screw 6 of the screws. Is that okay?

There aren't, you just see metal through the wholes. :( I just did the six screws for now and maybe in the future i'll drill the other holes and move the standoffs over and screw them in. Thank you for all the help! Build is pretty much complete and now trying to install windows.
