hi guys!
oem pc:fx 4130(125Watt) and gtx 650 730w ''Tech Solo'' psu (www.techsolo.net/download/TP-730_i.pdf)..on the internet every site says it has passive pfc but on mine it says Active pfc.. i'm confused..
now i got fx 8370e (95Watt) already inside and gtx 1050 ti(90W) on the way..the psu is already 3 years old...am i still good to go? or do these no-name psu's get much worse much faster? i'd only need about max 300w right?

thanks!

I would not invest a single additional dime in a gaming PC with that PSU in there. Techsolo is a Dutch company that creatively "adds" wattage to specs of bargain basement CWT cheapo jobs. This is just one instance of a Techsolo shutting down at half its stated wattage (there are others).

Meh, it's better than what you have now, but depending on what you're paying for it, I'd rather spend a little more rather than go with a hec-made entry-level PSU. Buying a good PSU for a decade is better than 2 or 3 PSUs for a decade.

''ec-made entry-level PSU'' ? you mean the ''be quiet'? also ..i do plan to get a REAL gamer pc in the future..this rig only has to last 1-2 years max. (i want to change the mobo ga78lmt usb3 ..thne i change cpu FINALLY TO INTEL !)

Yeah, it's hec-manufactured (most brands don't manufacture their PSUs, they contract out a design or adopt a platform and brand them) which is something we try to shy away from. There are a lot of solid be quiets, but this is the very basic line, which tends to be more suited for productivity builds. Makes more sense to invest a little more and get something that you can keep for the long haul.
