For the last few days like it seems like every 5 days or so i would lose like 1gb. I install the game on the hdd, so that shouldn't be a problem. I am just wondering if there is reason i lose 1gb of space. The ssd has a fresh install os.

Solution
could be from web surfing or other tasks. I would try doing a disk clean up to see if that frees up any space (search disk clean up app). Also make sure you have set your virtual memory to use the HDD and not your SSD so you don't wear your SSD out prematurely or use it's space up (ie under system settings --> advanced --> virtual memory)

Maybe you have a lot of temp files or your internet cache is taking up the space. Try using CCleaner, it will clean out some useless files and give you some space back. Could be other things too like programs updating or page file using up space. Another program you could get is RidNacs, it tells you what files and folders are taking up space on your pc.

You mean like putting the page files on the hdd instead of ssd?

yes putting the page file on your HDD. The page file should in practice never be on your SSD if you can avoid it. That way it doesn't eat space (not a lot usually 20-40 GB depending on how many programs you run/ram installed) but more importantly it doesn't over work your flash with read/writes causing premature wear out.

Hi there RachokingzOz,

You can use some third party tool that can show you what is taking up the space.

Also, you can do some other things like deleting temp files, running clean up, deleting previous restore points, etc. Here's an extensive tutorial on how to do that: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/
