Hello guys/girls,

I have the Gigabyte G1 Sniper B6 motherboard with an M.2 slot but I don't know if the Samsung 950 Pro, 256 GB SSD (MZ-V5P256BW, V-NAND, TRIM, AES) is compatible, also its only up to 10gbs that the motherboard supports.

* The M.2 socket shares bandwidth with the PCIEX4 slot. When the M.2 socket is populated, the PCIEX4 slot will operate at up to x2 mode so does the M.2 work at x2 or x4?

My main questions are,is it compatible and is it wurth it for gaming with big open worlds?

Hey mate,
I will say that its not overly worth it. Not for gaming anyway. What this will do is increase the speed your computer loads up and the applications open also the tranferring of data. As for gaming experience, no change.
Though if you do want that extra speed. Yes it is compatible though you will more than likely have to update bios. Feel free to ask how to do that if thats your plan.
