Hey all,
New to site and wanted to go ahead and see what everyone has to say.
I have Windows 10 and for a few weeks it will try to update (which I have read is supposedly the Anniversary update), and it will get to about 75% and then reboot and act like it is going to load up completely and instead reverts to a black screen with white spinning dots with no words. It will stay this way indefinitely unless I unplug and restart it (sometimes taking several attempts) then it reverts to previous settings.
Steps I have taken:
So far I have read online to : 1) Unplug WiFi Mouse (ineffective) - 2) Unplug internet cord / unplug internet cord, then reset. - 3) type in my password although you cannot see anything but white dots - 4) go to the Windows update page and try to force it to update (this said it did update and also said I had an issue with my video card update). updated both, but then later it will still restart to try and update windows supposedly and does same thing.
Steps I have read to take: 1) Reflash the BIOS, 2) Practically wipe everything and start again, 3) reset to a previous date.

Now second issue is that while playing WoW it will repeatedly make a revving noise for about 10 seconds at a time when something "graphically intensive" happens. Not even in a raid, just sitting with a druid attacking a single mob or sitting by a bomb fire in DM. I have graphics on lowest possible setting now, I used to have them on Ultra max everything and it ran smooth.
I do not want to just go buying a whole new computer (yet) , I wanted to just give this one a basic fix so my girl can play WoW np and so the pc works. I spent about 900 about 4 years ago on it and have kept drivers up to date (although I have not tried to update motherboard from website, or BIOS).
The game will randomly crash. Sometimes it doesn't happen, but then others it will happen after a couple minutes of playing.

I am learning as I go but still pretty new to everything so any information I can provide just let me know.

Also I forgot to add when originally posting...A couple of times it mentioned something about Voltage surging or something.? So this is why I bought a new power supply. But there has to be more to the issue, something with the program files causing an issue, bad graphics card..thanks again

What you should do is roll back from the anniversary edition for now, install windows 10 regular updates.
Then you tell windows 10 update settings to download the anniversary edition for you.
You tell it to let you decide when you want to install it manually.
The only deal with that is windows update will try to do it automatically or pester you for it,
Install it at night when you hit the sack, get up in the middle of the night and make sure it works fine.
I have the anniversary edition as I type this so far so good.
It seems stable enough unlike 1511 preview insider edition which slowed my computer down to hell and back again.
Avoid windows 10 update for -Windows 10 Version 1511 preview edition-.
About your other hardware problems, its hard to say where the revving or huming noise maybe coming from.
Check eventviewer.exe and check the system logs for any errors pointing out to a specific hardware device.

Has your hard drive given you any problems since you bought it and used it uptil now ?

I don't think it has given me any problems thus far no...but I found the noise and why...GPU fan and because it is hot as a mother! Gonna look up why it is getting so damn hot..
Also I will try the windows steps soon and get back to the post with feedback...working on 36hours and no sleep and still have stuff to do before I can rest.

Don't bother to look up the information, these cards in particular do over heat and many other people around the globe have had a issue with them.
Call msi this morning and speak with one of the technicians about it, it might be out of warrenty.

Ask them to help you with it, even if it means you may have to do pay by phone support.

Idk how but your post got -3? I accidentally hit it once..new to site and on my phone so didn't know what it did so I apologize..
They did not help much other than going through some tests (clean, test temp, stress test)..said I probably need new graphics card but suggested nothing.
I have pc all taken apart basically...putting in new power supply so figure tomorrow I'd literally clean the whole inside of the case..
Idk what I should install on my SSD to make it run smoother ( still using my hard drive)..
Also main question is what graphics card could I get that would go with my motherboard?

I don't know why you would thumb me down that much, since you want a new graphics card.
What is the most you want to pay for a new gpu ?
What is the size of your ssd, I would install the os, and any main programs you used frequently.
Also I would keep the steam games on other hdd, create a logical partition on that drive since its a 1tb.
Use that partition for backing up any documents or program installers you might need.

I would like something I don't need to upgrade again for a few years possibly for around 200..
I'll try to hook up the SSD tomorrow I need a Sata cord guess it didn't come with one.
Sorry about the thumbs down wasn't on purpose
