so i'd like to make a video editing pc and come to 2 choices.Should i get a gtx 1060 or should i get a GTX 1050 ti ? some people say that video editing is CPU dependant but i'm still a little bit confused.

is there any big difference if i choose the GTX 1050ti rather than the GTX 1060 on video editing ? if there's no big difference on video editing then i will choose the GTX 1050 ti because GTX 1060 is over my budget

note : ill be using i7 6700k and 16 gb ddr4 dual channel...

thanks :)

If you can afford the 1060 I'd go for it, cuda acceleration loves more cuda cores. So the general rule of thumb is more power is better, but both should be fine for it. Also technically speaking you could just render off of the cpu, it just takes longer.
