pls help

I've asked around a lot and apparently the new Kaby Lake i7 won't be compatible with Windows 7, however it should work anyway according to almost everyone I've asked and that has tested. I watched a youtube video where someone installed Windows 8.1 with a i7 7700K and he constantly got bluescreen of death. Can someone confirm if i7 7700K works on Windows 7 or not?

Solution
There won't be official security fixes, drivers etc and you won't get any support. It might be the case that it 'runs' but Kaby Lake isn't supported by Windows 7.

just as mentioned above.

None of the KabyLake CPU are "supported by less than win10"

if for any reason.. you are really stuck on win7. Recommendation is Skylake. But, why? Progress is made and it will not stop, you just have to go with the New or Modern, no other way around it. Today, you can get away with skylake, tomorrow, you'll have to throw win7 away anyways.

if this is because you have win7 key. then ... there are other options. You could buy a win10 OEM key, which is much cheaper than Retail, but it will lock you to 1 license, and 1 system build (this has some upgrade room through proper registration of product)

windows 10 will have full support with kaby lake while older versions wont and have a possibility of crashing at random points (tends to be while installing programs FOR NO SPECIFIC REASON)

Answer: Kaby lake 7700k can run with other operating systems beside windows 10

You can use Kaby Lake CPU on Windows 7 - You just wont have any windows update that would performance imrpovements and security fixes to prevent Spying by CIA. something like that - AND you may encounter instability (Only solution have a stable computer is use Windows 10 sadly)

WINDOWS 7 WILL RUN ON I7-770, I AM WRITING THIS TO PROVE IT. I CAN NOT ACCESS THE HD630 GRAPHICS DRIVERS HOWEVER DUE TO THEM BEING INCOMPATIBLE WITH WIN 7

I can confirm that Windows 7 runs on i7 7700K, once all of the windows updates are up to date after install, they will then tell you that you aren't supported for updates once you have all the release up dates. I think this is more of a push to get you using Windows 10. I don't like Windows 10 and the software I want to us only runs on Windows 7. The built in graphics driver did update but not to the latest as it need windows 10 (I have a second, better graphics driver - so that is up to the graphics cards vendor, not windows). In short, you'll be fine if windows updates don't mean much to you. PS - the new i7 is running like a dream!

I installed windows 7 on my pc and the whole system was instable. Everything was buging around. The OS i've installed was fine, I even tried to install 2 different Windows 7. The mouse was buging around even in the formating window at the beginning of the installation.
