I have a Geforce GTX 560 and am looking to upgrade to Geforce GTX 1070. I have 16GB Ram and i7-3820 CPU

Motherboard: GA-X79-UD3

Will this be compatible? Im bad when it comes to pc specs so any help would be appreciated.

Solution
compatible sure it will run on it, but the more crucial questions will be what is your power supply make/mode
because the issue with PSU's is power consumption.. and power consumption varies according to what the video card has.
examples below;

Asus GeForce GTX 560 1GB Video Card 37W - 150W
Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB StormX Video Card 18W - 75W
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition Video Card 42W - 170W

time to overclock the cpu if you want a 1070

by changing the BCLK and multiplier, get a good cpu cooler if you dont have one

I have a Liquid CPU Cooling System - Standard 120mm Fan

Will that work? I honestly have no idea
