My GPU fans used to spin when I would be running a beefy program. But the other day I bought battlefield 1 and the GPU was at 90°c+ and the fans were not spinning, there is no option to turn them on manually.

Specs:
CPU i5 6600K OC 4GHz
GPU Geforce GTX 1070ti Expedition 4gb
8GB RAM

Solution
please install msi afterburner, then set fans to spin at 30% when it reach 40° celsius

when it reaches 50° set it at 45%

if none of those aptions apply, try to set the fans to 100% and see if the fans do spin, if they do, play with those settings untill you get the desired effect

if nothing happens, check the gpu, to see if something is blocking the fans, perhaps a cable inside is stuck in there or the power cable of the gpu fans is not seated properly

if you can't find anything and can't make the fans work, you need to use the warranty of the card, because if you keep using it like that, it will end up burned

90c or 90f? Assuming C, there is something wrong. Do you have any overclocking software installed? Try closing those applications. If your card does not turn on its fan on its own with all default configs by 80c, it's defective.

Most GPU overclocking software allows you to control the fan ramp-ups. You could tell the GPU to never turn the fan on and kill itself. Why I asked.
