Hi,

I'm having a problem with my brand new Sandisk UItra 128GB Micro SD Card (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010Q57S62/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I bought this and went to put it in my desktop PC. It shows only a capacity of 1.95MB. I took it out and tried it on a laptop. It shows the same capacity.

I tried to reformat it using SD Formatter and I've had no luck.

Does anyone know what may be going wrong here?

Thanks very much! :)

What formatting did you use? Did you see any messages or receive other feedback during the formatting attempt?

Lots of room for problems:

1) The reader slot on your PC could be the problem.

2) The adapter card could be the problem

3) The Micro SD card could be the problem.

Try other SD and Micro SD cards (if you have them) to hopefully eliminate 1) and 2).

Then reload the SD Formatter software from Sandisk. Verify that you have the correct version and that it is up to date.

Use Disk Management to take a closer look at Micro SD card. See if you can reformate the card there.

Need to narrow things down.

1 & 2 have been eliminated as I tried them on another laptop that had its own card reader (my desktop has a Kodak USB adaptor).

I'll try the other formatting options. Thanks.

Press windows key and type "diskmgmt.msc" And scroll down to the sd card. There may be 1 tiny partition with 127.whatever of unused space. It could also be a fake SD card as stated above if you paid next to nothing for it.
