Unable to connect a new 2 TB Wd my passport ultra to windows vista home premium. system would not recogniize the same as no drive letter assigned and in disk management, change drive letter option not enabled. Please help

Hi there MT_Jan2017,

Is your OS SP1 or higher?
What are the options that you get, once you right click on the drive while in Disk Management?

I believe a good start of the troubleshooting process would be to just attach the drive to another computer with a different OS. (preferably higher)
Also, as the drive is a new one and you've got no data stored on it, you can repatition and reformat the drive.
