So I had a GPU model Palit GT730 2GB which I used on my old custom built PC for some time now. A few days ago it worked fine but when I was using it, the display went black and the PC restarted. It then turned off and turned on again and off. I thought it was my CPU which had been preowned so I changed the CPU with a similar one. Booted, same thing happened. So I thought it might be the GPU. I plugged it out and worked. Tried plugging it back it in, stopped working. To see if it was just my PC, I tried it on a different PC and the same thing happened to that and worked when not plugged. Please help.

Specs now:
Core 2 Duo e6300 @ 1.86 GHz
ASUS P5B-VM
3GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GT 8500 256 MB
500w PSU

Specs then:
Core 2 Duo e4600 @ 2.4 GHz
"
"
Nvidia Geforce GT 730 2 GB

No both GPUs don't have pin connecters.

Sorry I have read your previous comments wrong. My GT 730 is NOT working. MY GT 8500 IS. But if you want me to try something else, I can borrow a ATI Radeon X1600 from my relatives but it has the same performance to my GT 8500 though and only supports DX 9 Games.

So you do get a display with your 8500?

I don't get what you're talking but I am using it on a DVI cable, but it can be used through S-Video and VGA. If you're asking about monitors, I'm using 2 with resolutions of 1440x900 and 1280x1024.

What do you mean you plugged it out? Are you saying when a monitor is plugged in it does not work? but the computer works when a monitor is not plugged in? Or are you referring to a power cable I am still quite confused. If you are referring to a monitor being plugged in, have you tried a different cable or a different monitor? Do you have a speaker plugged into the motherboard and if so are there any beeps?

Okay a new update. The GT 730 now works but the thing is that the it doesn't output any signal. I know it works as the audio sounds the windows startup. I dont know how but I tried VGA and DVI but I can't use a HDMI as both monitors dont support it. I'm sorry for all the mess I had for this. PS I'm going to try and use the onboard to try and configure the bios. And thanks to everyone who tried to help me.
