Weird scent giving off from my computer (I'm pretty sure)

I finally finished building my first computer about a week ago from today. I've been playing on it for many hours since that day and I have never smelled a thing; however, yesterday evening when I was playing on it, I started to smell this weird smell that didn't really smell burnt, but it smelled like how a toner printer smells when it prints if you've ever smelled that before. Coincidentally, that same night, I had reinstalled an old graphics card into an old computer of mine and it was pretty dusty. Had that computer running for a few hours while resetting it. I noticed the smell, and I unplugged the old computer from the wall and I left it to sit on the floor for a bit in hopes that the smell disappeared. It didn't. It sat there for 4 hours total and the smell just lingered on. (The new computer has been on this whole time). I turned off my new computer for about 15 minutes, left the room, and then came back in to see if I could smell anything, and I kinda did, but I kinda didn't as it seemed for faint. Then I turned my new computer back on and I could smell it again. I am very confused from all of this because it seems like it would be my old computer making the scent with how dusty it was. I was thinking dust probably got into the PCI slot where the graphics card was seated and the fact that it was on for a couple hours probably did something.

But like I said, it seemed like I could only smell it whenever my new computer was on, maybe I am just paranoid. I was trying really hard to smell it from either case and I just could not find where it was coming from. I literally had my nose inside both cases and neither of them really smelled like anything which doesn't really sound logical at all considering it was kinda filling the room a bit. Now obviously I have read some answers online already about similar issues but I was hoping to find some new light of possibilities. I will be doing some serious Sherlock Holmes work when I get home. I'll try to give you guys an update. I should mention that all of my components are running at normal temperatures, Graphics card at about 60 Celsius when gaming, CPU 27 Celsius at Idle.
All that fun stuff, nothing too high.

However, that old PC seems like the only likely culprit with all the dust an all, but I could only smell it when my new PC was on. (Maybe I'm just paranoid like I said). I don't know :p

Separate the pc's. Take one to a different room, turn them both on with the doors closed. Check back in a few minutes. It'll be noticeable which one is stinky then. It could be something as simple as dust falling onto a hot component, or a wire touching something hot or even the grease in an old fan bearing.

Yeah I was hoping that the power supply would be the likely culprit in my new computer. The only thing is that it has been running flawlessly and without a scent for about 4 days now that I've had the computer, and the scent only started occuring last night.

I didn't even think of that, but that is a great idea. I will be hooking up my old computer into my little closet when I get home. Thank you for the response, and I will give you an update.
