Hi, I corrupted W10 on my laptop and then ended up breaking the screen after. I now have a new laptop and I have removed the HDD from my old one. At first, I could access my files but I must have opened the wrong one and now it is corrupted. I have important work plus other files I need to recover. What can I do?

Could you please send a screenshot of what you see about the drive in Disk Management?
You could try accessing the drive via Ubuntu Live USB/DVD, to see if it's capable of recognizing the drive properly so that you can get to your data. Another option would be to give it a go with data recovery software: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893.
