Hello!

I've been playing games on my old HP laptop from 2009 and I feel it's time for an upgrade. I don't know the first thing about electronics, but my friend said this was a really good forum with knowledgeable members, so I thought I'd ask you guys for some advice.

This store near me has a sale on gaming PC within my budget range. Anyone out there who knows if this is a good deal? I don't even know what to look for or if this is a good deal or if they just jacked the price up and down like they usually do on TV's.

is this a good deal for the price?

Any Information or tips would be invaluable

Thanks in advance

Eric

First off STAY AWAY FROM BEST BUY!!! Ahem... So let's see what they are offering. Oi!!! Best Buy AND Ibuypower? It's just gets better. And they didn't disappoint. They are just as bad as they were a few months ago. They are consistently bad and it would seem you know this but yet you are being tempted by the serpent when you know you will get bit. :( A very low end 6300 with a 3 year old entry level GFX card.

Two words Eric, Please don't.

If you can use a screwdriver and have two opposable digits you CAN build a PC. Tom's has many how-to guides. YouTube has many how-to videos and there is just so much info out there on how to build a PC. If you don't want to build one just make sure you stay away from Best Buy.

The system isn't really good; outdated.

My suggestion, research and learn how to build a PC and then build your own. Better value for money and you get the enjoyment of building your very own PC.

I would visit: https://www.youtube.com/user/CareyHolzman

This guy is the reason how I built my first system back in 2011 and how I still continue to build systems to this day, brilliant character and very easy to understand and learn from.

Will that be really good for the price if I want to play arma III ?

REALLY GOOD? SO subjective. I'd slap a good on that, but it's nothing to text home to mom about. Just be aware you will also need to purchase an Operating system(About $90).

I have a windows key. But you think this is a really good machine for the price? Like it doesn't have to be good, but really good for the amount paid. Good value.

Good value? Yes.

If I wanted to buy a PC, what do you think would be the best within that price range? (Must ship to NM)

Is there anything in stores or online (that ships to NM) that would give me almost as good value but It's premade?

Not imo. Find something with 16GB of RAM! a 1050Ti and a 3.7GHZ! Dual core? No.
