Hi, for starters im not very savvy on the matter and im having a really hard time with my memory RAM since half of it is being used by the hardware, i've tried several things i've read on forums such as:
-Changing dimms slots
-Verified that maximum memory is unchecked
-Changed the value under the folder HKEY LOCAL MACHINE>Control>NDU>Start> set it to 4
-Changed the value under the folder HKEY LOCAL MACHINE>Control>Session Mgmt> Mem Management> Clearpagefileatshutdown to 1
-BIOS > Load Optimized Defaults

None of it worked and i really need some suggestions, pc specs are:
AMD FX-8350
Kingston HyperX FURY 2x4GB
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
ASUS Radeon Rx 480

Thanks!

Solution
The hardware reserved resource that is taking up a large chunk of the system ram fitted is down most commonly to the fact that you have an on board graphics solution of the motherboard.

In the bios of your motherboard you will find an option where the integrated graphics has a set amount of memory that will be reserved from main system ram, you can change the amount that is reserved from a setting of about 512mb up to 4Gb.

which i cant get my head around how half a bank has gone , only 6gb show with 4gb usable . on board gpu is off , unticked memory reserve , updated bios , all i did was swap out motherboard for an exact copy so should run the same , the rams not damaged as it wouldnt work on its own ,

8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)

mines 4gb @ 1333mhz x 2
am i right in thinking the pc is thinking that boths sticks are actually 1 or should i take a break lol
