Hey, I'm very new to Forums as well as Gaming PC's. Although I'm a student at an IT school in California with a couple basic certs under my belt. But like I said new to PC Gaming and will be purchasing a system next week and adding some upgrades the same day!

First thing I saw you wanted was an i3 / 8GB Ram / and a 2GB Video Card is what you have listed.

For $700 bucks I will be getting a cyberpowerpc that comes with i5 / 8GB Ram / and 4GB Video Card and 1 Year warranty
*** For $180 I will install an additional 8GB as well as an SSD (275GB)

Bringing my total to $880 with Taxes $960...

Nah don't get this. You could get so much better even for 570 dollars you've listed.

However I don't exactly understand, you're looking for a 1000 usd build but you've listed parts that aren't even 600 dollars?

Something like this will be plenty for Overwatch mainly:

In addition to that some users wants longevity. That board can accept an 1151 CPU up to the i7 6700. Should they only buy the bare minimum or buy a card that will grow with the PC? Even though the 1060 isn't a bottleneck the OP could have even purchased the 1070. Even though the 6100 would tie her wings back the CPU can be upgraded and eventually the 1070 will be able to fully spread her wings. Having a slightly unbalanced system isn't always a bad thing.
