I just got a 960GB SSD. Right now I have the SSD plugged into my ASUS G20AJ. I have a 1TB Hard Disk Drive and an optical disk drive also plugged in. Windows can format the SSD and put files on it, and the bios detects it in advanced settings, but I want to know:

How do I install windows 10 on my SSD and boot from that SSD (using ASUS UEFI BIOS)? I also want to store all of my files on the SSD while keeping my hard disk drive as a backup/extra storage.

Solution
If you have less than 960 GB used on your HDD you can just clone it to SSD. After it BOOTs and runs OS from SSD you can clean up and repartition HDD to use it as storage.
