Hey guys, just have a quick question. I want to get a new motherboard, a motherboard that can handle 32 gb of RAM. My motherboard right now does not support 32 gb of RAM, only 16 gb. I need 32 gb of RAM because I play a lot of video games on ultra graphics and I need more memory so my computer can handle it. Right now when I play certain games (BF1, GTA, COD: IW) on ultra graphics my PC crashes after a certain amount of time I've been playing, I figured out that I don't have enough RAM to handle it. So according to my specs what are my best options for a new motherboard? Thanks!

Specs:

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology

RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. B75M-D3H

Graphics: Dell S2716DG (2560x1440@144Hz), G276HL (1920x1080@60Hz), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (EVGA)

Storage: 465GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB ATA Device (SSD), 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-21M2NA0 ATA Device (SATA)

Optical Drives: ASUS DRW-24B1ST c ATA Device

Audio: NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

It won't even ship until a month or two. Have any other suggestions?

I don't know how you happened to figure that but you're incorrect. There is NO game available now that will take advantage of 32gb of ram, and if you're having stability issues while gaming I can guarantee you, sworn on my own life that only having 16gb of ram is not the problem. Do not waste the money replacing your motherboard, and getting more ram.

So you're going to tell him to go from 1 B75 board to another, just to be able to run 32 GB of ram, which is completely not going to fix his problem whatsoever.

s4lkid do NOT buy this board.

someone asked a question, I answer correctly according to the questioned posted, I do not judge and decide what should be better for them , if the question is clear, concise and directed in such a way.
he did such a request and posted an appropriate answer. period.

I surmise the real answer would be to tell the user of a GTX 980 to get a nice fat 500$ video card for a 1080 8gb then ?

The real answer is to find the real problem...

No the real answer is to figure out what his real problem is, not encourage him to spend a few hundred dollars to replace parts that do not need replacing. He said the games run fine, they just crash, and hes under the impression that doubling his memory to 32gb will solve it.

So no, you did not post an appropriate answer, period.
