Ok so I recently built my first desktop. here is my build.
CPU- FX-6300
GPU- gtx 1060 3gb
MB- asrock 970m pro3 (micro atx)
Ram- 16gb of 2 different 1600 brands
psu- Antec 450w
Cpu cooler- Acrtic v7
I am not getting the frame rates I expected I would get. Im struggling to get 60fps in Oblivion with max graphics at 1080p (No mods) and am even getting less than 60 in game like Everquest 2 with medium settings. I feel like this machine should be more powerful. The cpu is at its stock clock speed. Other games that have been under 60 fps at high settings are chivalry, untured (on high settings). I am most annoyed at oblivion because i assumed my new build would demolish this outdated game.
I was planning on getting a new cpu (fx 8370). Would this improve my frame rates? I know ryzen is releasing soon but i simply dont have the money to buy a new MB, ram, and cpu. Thanks
