So recently I upgraded my PSU and GPU as part of an upgrade I have been wanting to do.
Anyway long story short I did the upgrade and have recently noticed a sudden issues with CPU temps not something I have noticed to much until recently. I notice when I'm browsing the web listening to Spotify watching Youtube videos (Medium Load) my temps are anywhere from 50°C-60°C and when I'm gaming playing games like Rainbow Six Siege Siege Overwatch and other demanding games (High Load) anywhere from 70°C-100°C which to me seems quite a ridiculous temperature.

System Specifications:
CPU: i7-3770
GPU: GTX-1070
PSU: Corsair RMi Series RM650i
RAM: 16GB

Case: https://www.reevoo.com/p/advent-dt2315-desktop-pc (best I can do sorry its and Advent desktop case)

I think it's recommended to change the thermal paste every 6 months right? well never done that it's been 4 years had no problems until now. The cheap option would be to buy some thermal paste and reseat my CPU heat sink but i'm pretty sure my current fan is just not going to cut it at all so I was thinking about getting this heatsink.

Cooler Master: Hyper 212 EVO

Any advice on other products is appreciated. Do I need a new case. Thanks in advance

the hyper 212 is good for stock clocked processors

make sure you buy an additional fan

I used core temp, Open hardware and HWmonitor. And I also know its not a sensor problem I have had my PC cut out because of temps.

To go in the case above my GPU where I have a fan slot? to draw out air?

to go on the cpu cooler for push/pull

also if you dont have a fan on the top of the case blowing air out, buy another one for that

The case is old so the Psu is mounted at the top of the case Gpu is at the bottom and in between is gap for a fan with fan holes

do you have a fan blowing air out the back of the case and a fan blowing in from the front?

Nope. The psu has a fan facing down towards the cpu no fans at the front and no exhaust fans

if you dont have a blower style 1070 then no wonder cpu temps are so hot

buy a new case as soon as possible, or at least mod your current case

Do you reckon it would be alright if i add a fan as an exhaust fan have the Hyper 212 EVO heatsink and the psu blowing air down?

jeez, i would wait on the cpu cooler, the airflow in that case must be stagnant as hell

add a fan blowing air out the back

and install a fan on the bottom blowing into the case

then check cpu temps

it may just be a combination of the gpu and psu dumping their heat in with no way out, and with no cold air coming in
