A few days ago I installed windows 10 on my pc and from that point on i keep having sound issues like popping, crackling and really bad quality when i raise the volume to the higher levels. I have the roccat kave xtd 5.1 digital headset which comes with each own external audio card to handle all its functions and connects with usb. I've installed and uninstalled all the proper drivers for the headset and the onboard many times, tried almost every combination of functions to see if one of them causes the issue, deactivated the onboard audio card, used drivers in compatibility mode, tried every usb port on my motherboard with and without other devices connected but nothing seemed to fix it. Today I came up with the idea to plug the headset in the usb slot on my keyboard, a razer black widow, and the issues stopped altogether. Does anyone know why or what I can do more to fix the issue when the headset is connected directly to the motherboard? I also went back to win 7 and the issues disappeared and then went on win 10 again and the issues came back up. My motherboard is the Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming.

There are probably cables touching your front Panel cables, (Jack or usb) and it´s creating an electrical interference, if you open your case and make sure all the front panels are far from the PSU or any other internal cables it could somethimes solve it
