Hi there!
So I still need to get an SSD for my gaming PC, I was thinking a Samsung EVO 850 120gb but I don't know what port to use. (also I assume that it's worthwhile to pay a bit more for the 850 than the 750)
I believe M.2 is the fastest and my motherboard (H110A/M.2) supports it however I have little experience with them, I am unsure about the keys for the slot and how they work (and whether they're compatible or not).
Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Solution
M.2 is just a connector. There are two interface with m.2: SATA and pcie. A M.2 pcie ssd offer the fastest. A M.2 sata ssd will be the same as a standard 2.5 SATA SSD.
mSATA is also another connector and has the same limitation as SATA.
