1.65 should be fine. You may also need to relax your timings from 9-9-9-24 to 9-10-9-27.

Being Z97 shouldn't matter. Most performance RAM in DDR3 is 1.65, but newer processes and better screened modules could be 1.6 or 1.5 at certain higher speeds. Either way, 1.65 is a safe voltage. You can try 1.6 to see what happens. My own GSkill kit is 2133Mhz 32GB 9-11-10-28 2T at 1.65v.

my ram came with 1.5 v and 1866mhz as stock, thats why im kinda scared going past 1.6 and i heard many things about how it damages the cpu and the ram sockets due to high voltage.

It *could* lower the lifespan of the modules, but likely you would upgrade to another setup long before that would happen. Corsair is also extremely helpful with RMA. You could ask over on their forums if 1.6-1.65 is safe for you. It's likely that the same memory ICs on your sticks are used on other kits in the model lineup and are able to run at higher frequencies on faster modules with more voltage. Also, the memory controller inside the CPU has it's own voltage separate from the RAM voltage. The RAM sockets themselves will be fine as well.
