Hi, all
I'm building a PC for my wife so she can run Witcher 3 and I've got an Asus 970 Aura Gaming Mobo and the AMD FX-8350 Black editino 8 core processor. When we stuck all the parts in and tried to fire it up for the first time everything lit up and the mobo speaker started beeping. The mobo's diagnostic lights are showing a CPU issue and I'm looking for ideas for what that could be.

In my hunt around the I'm seeing that the 8350 has issue with the MSI 970 board and I'm starting to worry that the Asus 970 might just be a re-branded rip off of that board. Though the 8350 is on Asus's supported list I'm wondering if there's any known issues with the Mobo or the CPU. Really hoping the CPU isn't just dead.

Thanks a bundle, folks.

Solution
When you say by beeping, how many beeps did you get before the mobo automatically shut itself it down again ?

Maikutech: It beeped Long, Short, Short for about 3 minutes before I powered it down to start poking around inside. Should I try leaving it on until auto shutdown? it seemed pretty apparent it wasn't going anywhere and the beeping was starting to hurt my head.
UPDATED AFTER REREADING LINK: Long Short Short seems to be the code for No Memory. I'm swapping the memory with some other RAM I have and seeing if that helps.
Madmatt30: Yes, I had that socket plugged in.

An update for y'all: turns out the RAM wasn't in all the way and I'm an idiot. Computer is currently doing Windows Startup Repair, probably because I just put a new CPU in it, and Windows is confused. Thank you both!

Updated because my wife wants credit for spotting the RAM issue.
