I have an issue where whenever I try to boot up my system it gives me the following error: Overcurrent has been detected on your USB device!! System will shut down after 15 seconds to protect your mainboard. I started getting this problem immediately after I've moved all my components into another case. I have already tried unplugging the case usb connector from my motherboard but I still get this error. I've also tried booting my system with the least amount of components possible. Do I need to send back my motherboard or is there a way around it, please let me know!

Specs:

Cpu: Intel core I5 6600K(Not overclocked)
Gpu: GIGABYTE GTX 1060 3GB
Ram: 8gb DDR4(2 sticks)
Motherboard: MSI Z170 Gaming M5
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
Psu: Sharkoon 650W
Case: Mastercase maker 5

Since you moved your mobo to another case it seems there's some spot where it is making contact with your case thus causing a short, that can easily lead to some overcurrent detection which it is happening.

Test breadboarding your mobo, the overcurrent msg should disappear and then put the mobo back into the case making sure it's not making contact in any spot at all.

You used the standoffs to put the mobo in the case right?
