I want to install linux on my laptop(asus k70ab) with a bootable usb drive. But I can't. My boot priority is set to 1. USB-drive 2. HDD. When I remove my HDD my pc can boot into the USB-Drive. But when my HDD is installed it cannot boot into the USB-drive. Does anyone know how I can boot into my usb drive?

Solution
Sometimes a live Linux USB drive will have two options to select when trying to choose it for the boot priority. First thing I would be sure to check is if there is another USB choice in the boot options that you could select.

You could also try removing the HDD from the boot order entirely but still have it connected physically to the machine.
