I recently built my first PC (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/X8PpFd these are the components) and I made sure everything was plugged into the right place and when I turned the power supply on the motherboard and cases' power button would turn on but when I pressed the power button on the case none of the fans would start and nothing would show up on the monitor. The small "memory OK" light on the motherboard also would not light up. I have tried 2 different brands of RAM (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231882&cm_re=ram-_-20-231-882-_-Product and https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820156110&cm_re=ddr4-_-20-156-110-_-Product). The first kit I got used so I assumed it was dead but I wound up having the exact same issue with the second kit which I bought new. Is there something probably wrong with both RAMs? Are the RAM slots on the motherboard broken? Is there some other issue that I am not seeing?

This may sound silly but did you make sure you plugged in the CPU power cable at the top of the board? When I built my first computer I completely forgot about it and it took me over an hour to realize that was the problem.

The CPU power cable is plugged in. Even if it wasn't, wouldn't the "memory OK" light still turn on if the RAM was detected?
