Hey everyone! With the incoming tax season I'm looking to upgrade my PC. Mostly looking for a new CPU and MoBo. I was going to go with a 6600k but with the new release of the Kaby Lake processors The 7600k and 7700k are looking like better upgrades for my dollar. Below is a pcpartpicker link to what my build may look like. Keep in mind I have every thing else but the MoBo and CPU.

This is a compare list of what I'm currently looking at.

Any suggestions for SSDs would be welcomed too!

P.S for anyone wanting to know what I'm upgrading from: I have an AMD FX-6300 OC'd to 4.2Ghz and a GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P

With MSI Z170A Gaming M5 MoBo, your BIOS needs to be version 1.C or newer if you want to use Kably Lake family CPUs.
BIOS versions: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M5.html#down-bios

I have the same MoBo in my Skylake build (full specs in my sig) and when i bought my MoBo in Oct 2016, it came with BIOS version of 1.9.

If your BIOS isn't 1.C or newer, you have to update the BIOS by yourself. Or go with Z270 chipset MoBo. Here i suggest MSI Z270 Gaming M5.

Oh, you can't OC your K-series CPU with H-series MoBo. For OC, you'll need...
