Hello, I need advice with new GPU.

I have older PC:

Motehrboard - GA-EP41-UD3L (rev. 1.0)
CPU - Core2Quad Q8400
RAM - A-data Vitesta DDR2; 2x1 GB, 800MHz (well, in the future I want 2x2)
PSU - Seasonic SS-500ET Active PFC F3 - 500W
LG optical drive
1x HDD Seagate Barracuda 160GB
1x HDD Samsung 750 GB

and I need new (and cheap - under 50 bucks) GPU. I want this PC for the internet, movies, older games (witcher 1, medieval total war 2, etc.)

What type should I buy? Something new like HD6450, or GT710; or should I try to find something older/second-hand on the internet (like Radeon HD 4890; Radeon HD5830)?

Thanks for your advice

GT 730 GDDR5 is good for that CPU and older games. Used one is fine if you can test it first, or get from a seller with a decent amount of good ratings.
No to AMD 5450/6450, really just no. I'd favor a 730 DDR5 over used in your case because the main benefit of buying used is to get maximum performance for cheap, which you don't need(for older games). I'd rather have the sure thing in a new videocard. If you can't afford the new 730 then yeah, something like a 5830/5850 would do it.
