Did XMP set my RAM speed right?

I bought Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz (PC4-24000) C15. I read in many places that RAM will default to 2133 MHz if you don't set fix it in the bios. In my bios, I turned on XMP in an attempt to automatically boost up the speed to the advertised 3000 MHz. When I load up CPU-Z, I see some strange numbers. I don't see "3000" anywhere. Did I setup my RAM speed correctly?

You are running at 3000Mhz, but as I learned recently, it's not because you are running Dual Channel,
but because you have DDR (Double Data Rate), so 1496.5x2=3000'ish.

Per wikipedia: "..Dual-channel-enabled memory controllers in a PC system architecture utilize two 64-bit data channels. Dual channel should not be confused with double data rate (DDR), in which data exchange happens twice per DRAM clock. The two technologies are independent of each other and many motherboards use both, by using DDR memory in a dual-channel configuration."

DDR=Double Data Rate, so as madmatt30 said 1496.5 doubled is 3000mhz. I agree its a little confusing and even frustrating that most programs don't just give a straight answer. Windows 10/taskmanager sometimes gives a more understandable listing. On some rare occasions I even seen it correctly identify the memory and speed.

The reason it's not exact has to do with the 8bit math used for most computer specs. I.E. 512mb=1/2 GB, 1024MB=1 GB, etc.
