Good deal? i3 6100 + 250 CAD for 6700k

I've more or less decided I want to upgrade my i3-6100, and I've been taking a look at the 2nd hand market. Someone on Kijiji (online buy and sell) said they'd take my used i3-6100 + 250 CAD for a brand new, sealed in box i7-6700k. As you can see in my sig, I already have a Z170 mobo + 212 EVO cooler.

What do you think, is this a good deal?

Edit: I had been hoping to find an i5, as I don't do anything more demanding than gaming so I probably don't really need an i7. Haven't found any used ones though, and after missing Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Boxing day sales, prices for new i5s are looking pretty mediocre. I was thinking of maybe waiting to see if Ryzen did anything to prices, but figured if a good deal came along in the meantime I might take it.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I thought it seemed like a pretty decent deal. Just a little worried that I'd be spending more than necessary to get an i7 over an i5 without actually needing the extra threads. That and the possibility that I'll miss out on potential price drops once Ryzen is released, although I guess in the tech world you could spend your whole life waiting for the next big thing to come out.

Just got an offer for an i5-6600 for $240, might see if I can negotiate down a bit. But then I have to try and sell my i3 separately, and with the newly released hyperthreaded Pentium G4560 offering nearly the same performance as the 6100 at Pentium prices, the resale value may have taken a hit (was otherwise thinking I could get at least $100).

Well, decided to go with the 6700k. Looks like a got I decent overclocker as well. Ran P95 v26.6 small FFTs for at least 20-30 minutes at a somewhat modest 4.5GHz, voltage at 1.212 V according to HWiNFO (set at 1.215 w/ high LLC in BIOS). Max temps in the mid 70s with a fairly conservative fan profile set on my 212 EVO (only reached around 60%, which was noticeable but not loud). Feel like I could get at least a couple more multipliers out of it if I'm willing to put up with higher fan speeds, especially seeing as how I'm never going to be pushing it that hard in regular use anyway. But the truth is I really don't need the extra power at the moment.
