So after buying a Netgear PL1000 (https://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/powerline/PL1000.aspx - link for the uninformed.) I took 5 minutes to do the plug and play an voila, the lights come on all green and everything seems hunky dory.

That is until I actually try to test out the ethernet. It lists it as an unidentified network and will not connect to internet.

This seems easily fixed by moving it around and playing with resets but there is another catch.

All modes of wifi are seemingly disabled. No device can connect to either network (I run a 2.4 gb and 5 gb off the router, no past or current problems) no phones, no tablets, no laptops, nothing. I can't even check the router's settings page through any device while the adapter is connected.

However as soon as I disconnect the adapter from the router the wifi is fine, working as always.

I haven't found any cases like this and I'm not a networking genius, so alas I'm here.

My router is a Linksys EA6300, and the system is irrelevant, it happens only when the adapter is plugged into the router, regardless whether the other end is connected to a device.
