Hey!

I just build my new pc and everything worked just fine, after installing windows 10 and flashing mobo bios to the newest version I still had no problems.
However when I wanted to change my DRAM freq. to 3000MHZ with changing xmp to profile #1 I get the bd error code on my mobo and it doesnt boot anymore.

My specs are:

Asus Strix X99 (newest bios version I believe 1401)
i7 6850K (without oc because that also resulted in an oc failed bootscreen)
Corsair Vengeance Led 64GB (CMU32GX4M4C3000C15R) + (CMU32GX4M4C3000C15)
Nvidia GTX970
NZXT X62
Samsung 960 PRO 512GB
Samsung 850PRO 500GB
Corsair AX860i

I tried to overclock my cpu only to 4,0 Ghz with auto settings (only 40 on multiplier) but that caused an overclock failed boot aswell :(. Even with the asus ez tuning stuff in the bios I got oc failed and windows wouldnt boot )

Does anyone know what I can do to fix my problem? :(
I only want a mild oc on my 6850K (4,0Ghz on all cores) and the 3000Mhz on my memory...

beneath you'll see my pc (the dram that is black was just faded black while taking the pic so it works)

Hey! Thanx for your quick reply, however I never manually adjusted ram before in the bios? Is it as simple as setting the freq to 3000 mhz and the latency timers standard?

with these settings I wasn't able to boot into windows (15-17-17-35 at 1.35 volt)

I tried setting it to 2800Mhz with above settings instead of 3000 mhz but it also failed...
However I did try again to oc my 6850K to 4,0 Ghz with 1,2 volt and it works stable now .... so I only need to fix the dram freq.

The red memory sticks caused all the trouble they are not supported by the x99 strix with xmp on... with the white versions I got a stable oc on my 6850K with 32GB on 3000Mhz. Sad story
