Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to read this but i really need your help as my computer doesnt work anymore. I upgraded my cpu and my motherboard. Cpu is 2nd hand and motherboard is brandnew both appear to be working fine in bios how ever my hdd or ssd arent detected im pretty sure my ssd was broken before hand but my hdd isnt detected either. This is really scary for me and would apperciate it heaps if someone would help me.
Specs
Gtx 970
i7 4770s
Gigabytr b85m d3h motherboard
28gb ram
2tb hdd western digital black i think

Also i know my hdd has power as i can hear its fan when my computer turns on.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there Garry141515141415,

That is really unpleasant. :(

Was the HDD working just fine when in your previous computer?

I believe that attaching the HDD with different SATA and power cables to another SATA port would be a good start. If the issue persists, you can even attach it to another computer. That way, you will be absolutely sure if there's something wrong with your system or the HDD itself.

Is the HDD under warranty?

Let me know how this goes,
D_Know_WD :)
