I’m having an issue with my computer and don’t know what else to try. The computer will suddenly shut off and restart when I run Furmark, 3dmark 11 demo and CS:GO (haven’t tried any other GPU intensive programs). Computer will NOT shut off while running prime95. This leads me to believe that the cause of the issue is the PSU dying and shutting down the computer when the GPU draws too much power. I guess this is what you get for buying a cheap PSU (CX750m). Event viewer always states the same event: Critical Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Task 63. Computer has been running fine for about a year and a half.

This is what I’ve tried so far:
• GPU drivers have been updated
• ASUS GPU Tweak II has been updated
• Chipset has been updated
• BIOS has been updated
• Windows is up to date
• Audio drivers have been updated
• I’ve removed the overclock on the CPU & RAM
• All power cables have been checked and are properly connected
• I’ve tried plugging the computer into a different outlet in the house
• Windows 10 has been reinstalled (Not a clean install, files and programs were kept)
• GPU temps are around 70C under load
• CPU temps are around 65C under load

I don’t know what else to try before purchasing a new PSU. Will gladly provide more details if needed. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Random note: I’m currently living in Thailand and the outlets are not grounded here. I’ve shocked myself many times from touching metal on the case, USB ports, etc. I’m not sure if this would cause any problems.

Solution
Yeah the CX series isn't known for it's longevity or reliability. You can get a tester, or take in the PSU to get tested rather than go out and buy a new one.

I forgot to mention, in the BIOS the 3.3V voltage is shown as 3.328V, the 5V voltage is shown as 5.080V and the 12V voltage is shown as 12.096V. Are these numbers accurate or should I still get the PSU tested?
