Like the tittle says i'm planning on building a new gaming pc.

I've been searching for components, reading reviews, watching videos all month and this is what i
came up with.

Its really hard for me to pull the trigger on this since i'm always doubting if there is something out there that is either better for less money, that i'm overspending on something or that i'm buying hardware that will not be compatible.

I did a build back in 2013 and i feel like this is a good time for to make a new one.

Here it goes

PCU: be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 750W

Cooling: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz 16GB DDR4 3000MHz (F4-3000C14D-16GVK)

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming

CPU: i5 6600k (i will overclock it to 4.4 ghz)

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING Z 8G

Storage 1: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

Storage 2: Western Digital Black WD2003FZEX 2TB

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass SATIN BLACK

OS: Windows 10

Monitor: Asus PG348Q

All of this together will set me back 3201€ (3425 $) which is A LOT of money, and i saved a long time before i got here.

Now, my question(s) is simple, am i buying hardware that will work together, am i'm going to have bottleneck issues, is the huge cooling going to prevent me from installing the ram properly.

Am i overspending on something ( i know the case is quite expensive, but it looks so good).
And most of all will my GPU be able to handle the monitor, i looked around and it should be fine if i play with the settings a bit.

The goal here is for me to build a gaming PC that is set for at least 3 years, and can handle future VR hardware.

I'm asking all of this to you guys because i'm a huge doubter and its hard for me to spend this kind of money without at least being 99% sure that i am not going to mess this up...

I am open for any suggestions or tips.

Excuse me for any grammar and spelling mistakes, English is not my first language.

Thanks in advance

Ah okay thanks, while this is indeed very expensive for me the money i saved for a new build is around 3300€ with monitor. It took me a long time to get that money but it is meant for a new build and i do not mind spending all of it.

So i came up with a new setup, again... and i seriously hope this will be it, since i'm getting a serious headache comparing hardware, reading and watching YouTube vids...

I hope someone just says you're good to go so i can finally order my new build, but if there is anything i messed up again or that something is overkill please tell me.

PCU: be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 650W

Cooling: NZXT Kraken X62

RAM: Corsair DDR4 Dominator Platinum 2x8GB 3000 C15

MOBO: MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON

CPU: Intel Core...

Assuming no trolling: You have been looking at the wrong reviews and videos, my friend.
That kind of system should be around $1200 with Kaby Lake and z270.
Use PCpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/
It has different sites, based on your location.
Good luck.

No idea why you would think i'm trolling, its either my picture or that i made a huge mistake in this setup, and making a fool out myself ?

Either way, most of the videos i watched are from Linus tech tips, the reviews i have read are from here, pc gamer and a lot of other sites.

The price i mentioned is with a monitor that costs 1223 € / 1308$ without it the build alone costs me 1978 €...

While i did build a pc back in 2013, i'm a noob when it comes to all this tech stuff, hence why i'm here and why i called myself noobofnoobs...

So where did i go wrong that you somehow are able to drop the price to 1200$

Alright so after doing some research i see where i messed up, apparently i totally missed the fact that a 7th gen i5 is only 10€ more than the 6th gen one, and that there is z270 mobo's to go along with it.

This i why i came here before ordering anything...

So i changed the build to this

PCU: Seasonic X-750 V2

Cooling: Corsair Hydro H100i v2

RAM: Corsair DDR4 Dominator Platinum 2x8GB 2400

MOBO: Asrock Z270 Extreme4

CPU: Intel Core i5 7600K

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING Z 8G

Storage 1: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

Storage 2: Western Digital Black WD2003FZEX 2TB

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass SATIN BLACK

OS: Windows 10

Monitor: Asus PG348Q

This build however does not come anywhere close to 1200$, and is now 1991€ or 2137$ (without the monitor)
I've checked the site you gave me, while its a very good site to get build ideas and tips, the prices however are not complete as some builds do not calculate in the GPU for some reason...

again i'm open for suggestions on this new setup and how to improve it.

I forgot to mention what games i would like to run on it, the witcher wild hunt, hitman, arma 3, overwatch, tf2, deus ex mankind divided, bf 1 and in the future i might want to play vr.

If you want Multiplayer BF1 for now and VR in the future, get yourself an i7k (an 6600k @ 4.5Ghz would still be ~80% taxed with BF1 MP).

Swap those Evolv Glass to ProM Acrylic/Tempered Glass, Dominator Platinum to LPX, Gaming Z to Gaming X, WD Black to Blue/Green if you have to.

Okay i swapped the i5 for the i7 7700k. The case i picked is purely cosmetic and looks good to my taste, unless you do not recommend it because something will not fit ?

Could you tell me why i should swap the other stuff though ?

You mentioned that this build is very expensive for you so I included that part with a qualifier "if you have to", in the sense that if the move to i7k put you way over-budget you can look at those options to bring the total cost back down.
