I recently upgraded my mobo from a stock dell mobo to a msi H61M-P31/38. everything works until i run a game. the game plays fine for a few minuets then it just randomly restarts. People seem to think its a psu problem but im not convinced. Im running a Radeon RX460 Nitro gpu and a corsair vs550 psu on a i5 2400. Also i replaced my cpu cooler yesterday so it cant be a heat issue as its brand new and when i check in the bios after a restart fro playing games it is at most 45 degrees celsius. Also im running the latest win10 64 bit.
Any advice would be massively appreciated.

Must be a hardware issue then. Could try using onboard graphics to see if graphics card is the issue, or try memtest to see if there's anything wrong with the memory. Just try different things I guess, I'm sure there's multiple ways you can figure out the problem. Just have to do some research.

Could be anything honestly, you should just try everything. Could be a problem with your graphics card, could be outdated drivers, anything really. Best to just try a load of things and you'll figure it out eventually. I'd say try using driver sweeper and do a clean install of graphics drivers, also see if there's any windows updates you need to do like the anniversary update unless you already have that. Try out Driver Booster as well to make sure all your other drivers are up to date. If none of that works then it's most likely a hardware problem.

thank you I'll try a clean install of windows 10 I'm thinking I may have left some of the old drivers from the old motherboard installed by accident, can you recommend any decent driver Sweepers and boosters ?

Thanks very much
