Fastest LGA1150 chipset cpu

Im not currently looking at upgrading my CPU I was just curious in seeing which CPU was the fastest from LGA 1150.
Its also because in a couple years when my CPU isnt sufficient enough to run games and is bottle necking a more powerful GPU I was thinking I could upgrade to the i7 4790k and save money on a motherboard although that might not be a good idea.

The 4790K is generally within 10% of Intel's latest and greatest i7 7700K. In a few years you might see more cores available in your price range than today's DT i7's have, but I expect you'd see a corresponding drop in the value of the 4790K, making it a more affordable upgrade. The used part market tends to be very self-regulating.
