Looks like it is possible, but as one poster there mentions it seems a little wasteful to upgrade to an i7-6700k because the motherboard (an H170 apparently) doesn't allow for overclocking.
As a general thought, what performance increase you will see will depend on what games you run (obviously). Depending what those games are it might not be a worthwhile upgrade.
