yup, that happens and that was the right thing to do. You can run all the stability tests you want, but the real test is running the applications/games that you use. If you BSOD during those, bump your Vcore up a bit like you did. When you do that, I recommend keeping an eye on temps for a while just to make sure they are staying below 80C.

My max temps while gaming were 72c i think and 63c average i think few cores are lower. I just dont like that i need 1.25-26vcore and adaptive on which brings to 1.28-29v for 4.4ghz but i didnt want to risk it and test stability. Btw if 4.3ghz works at 1.24 ill bump it down to 1.235 to see if it works :) But before i knew that ring cache can be downclocked without loosing performance i almost smashed this chip....

Ok so i got bsod at 1.24v but i dont think it was a normal one my audio bugged aswell pretty weird :(

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xffffe48dee9eb028, 0x00000000bf800000, 0x0000000000000124). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 27083aad-332f-47dc-81d4-29d7f7bbe3fa.

Seems like you have gone too low on your Vcore. Try 1.25V

I bumped vcore to 1.24v got bsod again i bumped it to 1.245v and still testing if it fails ill go 1.25 but if that also fails im downclocking to 4.2ghz.....

why would you downclock to 4.2 if you were stable at 4.4GHz with a 1.28-1.29Vcore? Those voltages are perfectly fine as long as your temps are <80C.

I didnt really test 4.4ghz for a long perioud of time i dont wanna risk burning my chip tho i booted at 1.29 passed cinebench r15 with good score ran prime 95 for 5mins and temps were around 80c i think so i dont want to risk it cuz i am using air cooler hyper 212 evo, but im probably going to buy corsair h100i.

well not apples to apples necessarily, but I run my 6600k at 4.6GHz with 1.29Vcore using an EVO 212 and temps during testing <80C. I use OCCT instead of Prime. If you are using the latest Prime you may see unrealistic temps (that is temps that you won't see running regular applications). 1.29 is a moderate Vcore - definitely not on the high end of Vcore. There is not a big performance difference between 4.3 and 4.4, so if you are more comfortable with 4.3 (or even 4.2) stay at the freq.

Well if i can run 4.3ghz at 1.245 or 1.25v stable im fine max temps were 75c in prime95.I mean like u said there should be almost 0 difference between 4.3 and 4.4. Btw my ring cache is at 3.4ghz does that affect performance cuz i heard it doesnt.

Minimally. I have UNCORE at 4.5GHz, but it adds minimal improvement.

Yeah but i think i need more vcore for 4.3ghz if i bump cache at 4.0ghz, i mean i can tweak more and find that its not a really big deal but i never went above 1.2v on cache.

Btw i just downloaded OCCT and this just happened i have my vcore set to 1.245volts adaptive but OCCT bumped it to 1.37v Pic: http://imgur.com/a/N5xu3 What the hell is that?!?
