Don't get hung up on exact numbers. 1080p means 1920x1080, but it also means 2 million pixels(1920 multiplied by 1080). So when I say "720p" I mean 720p or ANY resolution that involves a similar amount of pixels. 1280x720= about 900,00 pixels. 1366x768= just over 1 million pixels. The greater the amount of pixels being worked on, the larger the workload on the videocard.

A game like Rise of the Tomb Raider will demand a lot from a videocard. The card must process all the effects, textures, etc which all by itself is a huge workload. When you choose to run the game at a high resolution, you increase that workload. For a card like the 750 Ti you will have to find the balance between making the game look good but not overwhelming the card...

You have s dual core CPU with an entry level videocard(750 Ti). So less demanding games should run well at 1080p. Games that demand more videocard power but only need a dual core CPU should run well but at lower resolutions such as 900p or 720p. Games that need a quad core CPU and/or a powerful videocard may not run well at any resolution or may not run at all.

Now all you need to do is read about the game you are interested in, find it what it requires, and compare it to what I wrote. Then you'll know what to expect.

For a card like the 750 Ti you will have to find the balance between making the game look good but not overwhelming the card with too much work. Lowering the resolution is one way to reduce the workload.

No one can tell you specific titles because there are too many games, too many choices of settings, too many framerates considered 'good enough' for anyone to know exactly what you want. The main point is at 720p or 1366x768, the 750 Ti should do well enough on practically any game. Some games you'll even be able to play at 1080p.
