Hi, I have an ASRock M/B and i3 7100 processor and it's not posting and I found out that I have to update Bios in order to run it. Now I have don't have any processor lying around and I cannot go to any shop because I live in a place where the shops have no spare CPUs lying around so I ordered a USB bios programmer and all I'm asking is will that work and if not please give me a solution.

I also contacted ASRock about this someone named John told me that they'll send a latest BIOS chip and I have heard nothing about him since. I also contacted Technical support and nope..... they are on a """"""" Holiday """""""" . So can anyone help me out? Thank You in advance.

I saw in the specs of your board that it uses a 128 Mbit ROM chip. Some ROM programmers support only chips up to 64 Mb. If the ordered programmer doesn't support 128 Mb chips they you can cancel that. And in the worst case order a programmed chip (with the latest version) from a specialized shop.

This one is located in the Netherlands: http://stores.ebay.com/BIOS-Service-Center
Maybe you can find one in or close to your country for fast delivery.

In my experience ASRock support normally will send a chip with the latest BIOS in cases like this. I would just contact them again. Maybe something went wrong.

It is Chinese New Year, so their Asian office might be closed this week. But other offices are probably still open.

A ROM programmer is still nice to have...

Thanks for the reply. But I've contacted them like 100 times and ya will the ROM programmer work with ASRock BIOS because I saw a video that said that it will not work.
